Instructor applications contain sensitive personal information including military and law enforcement service history, background disclosures, and professional references. This information is:
- Accessible only to TBG leadership
- Used solely to evaluate fitness for instructor roles
- Retained indefinitely for approved instructors as part of their personnel record
- Retained for 12 months for denied applications, then deleted
- Never shared with third parties outside the service providers listed above
By submitting an instructor application you consent to TBG collecting, storing, and reviewing this information for the purpose of evaluating your application.
Instructor applicants may optionally submit a professional headshot. By submitting a photograph you grant TBG permission to use that photograph in connection with your instructor profile, course listings, and TBG marketing materials if you are approved as an instructor. If your application is denied, your photograph will be deleted within 30 days of the denial decision.
Signed liability waivers are legal records. We retain them indefinitely as required to protect TBG's legal interests. Waiver records include your full name, date of birth, home address, emergency contact, digital signature, IP address, and the timestamp of signing.
Transactional emails — order confirmations, course reminders, waiver links, and application responses — are sent automatically as part of our service. You cannot opt out of transactional emails while actively using our services.
Newsletter emails are sent via MailerLite to subscribers who have opted in through our newsletter signup form. Every newsletter email includes an unsubscribe link. You may unsubscribe at any time.
We store all personal data in Supabase, a SOC 2 Type II certified database platform. Access to your data is restricted to TBG leadership and the service providers listed above. Payment data is never stored on our systems — all payment processing is handled entirely by Stripe.

- Request deletion of your personal information, subject to our legal retention obligations (waivers and financial records may be retained regardless of deletion requests)
